I’m sick with a cold, again! Drat! I must stop nibbling my nails, I know they are full of infectious germs…I did scrapbook 2 pages though, again starring one of my beloved nieces…I’m also reading up a storm, my books on hold all came in at the same time from the library. I’ve just finished a Karen Kingsbury selection, "Redemption", and I’m just starting a new Joanne Harris (the author of "Chocolat") book, "The Lollipop Shoes".
The new job is great, the people are very nice, although I’m so envious of the teachers in the school I could just spit, since I so dearly want to be doing what they are doing, and I hope someday that I will be able to get a teaching position of my own, since I am qualified to do so…but for now I know I am where God has placed me and I’m going to make the most of it.
Our foster “child” is actually a 19-year-old Native American boy. It’s going pretty well, so far, so good!
DH picked me up a great storage container set at Costco to surprise me, and I used 2 Joann’s 50% off coupons to purchase 2 new KI Memories kits, so I had quite the scrappy little weekend! I love these kits, they come with 80 pieces of paper, a chipboard alpha set, 3 sheets of alpha stickers, 3 sheets of regular stickers, 1 epoxy alpha sheet, and 1 epoxy sticker sheet, all coordinating! I think I've purchased 10 of them, if my count is correct. Last weekend I also got 2 new sizzix dies, the large hearts and the large squares. I just want to get the large stars, all of the large flowers, and the large tags dies, and then I think I will have all the ones that I will use. It seems to me that the sizzix dies are more reasonably priced than the cuttlebug dies. And somehow I just like them better. They seem more classic and less trendy, or something...

Thanks for visiting my blog!!! You have a great blog here. I wanted to tell you we have a super message board on the site with about 110 sweet ladies if you have not found it yet. I saw you are in Oregon and I thought wow I am over in Central Oregon. My hubby is a teacher and I am an aide for title one reading. Lots of in common when you also add in the scrapbooking!!
Pick out a book or two from tyndale.com for yourself and DH and I'll send it to you as a present for stopping by my blog in the past and commenting and because you are sick and may be done reading that Karen Kingsbury book in no time. We have published lots of her books, but just finished the last one in her current contract. Her newest ones are with Zondervan. Get better and let me know at studiosmith@yahoo.com what book(s) you would like, okay? God bless you.
That storage is great, I got some for my Christmas decorations and I kept thinking, this would work great for my sb stuff! And the kid's wii; one level for cames, one or wii-motes and numchucks. I may have to check out Costco.
oh what a fun scrappy weekend! Thanks for stopping by my blog and I hope you feel better.
yay for new scrappy supplies and new books!!!
Hey Christina,
Love the layouts you've been doing recently. So cute.
I don't know if Pastini is a chain or not. Probably is. We went to the one in Bridgeport Village.
Have a great week!

Such a great scrapping style you have. I love your choice of colors and prints. Are you a sub teacher right now? I hope you can get the job you're seeking. I sense your passion and that definitely speaks "great teacher" to me.
Blessings,
~Toni~
Chewing on your nails! My 5-year-old does that and is always brining home colds from school. I never thought about that. Thanks for just mentioning that on your blog!
I hope you're feeling better soon!
your layouts are so pretty. Love love those colors. Thanks for stopping by. I'm going to post all of the album pages. I just added 2 more.
Love your LO's! Super adorable! I also love the music. I have saw third day in concert twice! I love them. I have almost all of their cd's! Great music! Have a great day!
I hope you start feeling better soon! Having a cold just plain old stinks. I saw those storage containers at Costco, too, and thought about grabbing them, but didn't. Maybe next time!
Oh dear I lost my comment :o(
Wow! what a lot of special comments you have gotten today! Well add mine to the list & catch a **HUGE hug**, I hope you feel better!
Great deal you got from Joann's [is it a scrapping or craft store?] Happy creating with all your lovely new stash.
